Parker's Heritage 18th Edition 107 Proof (53.5% ABV) is a highly allocated, Kentucky straight malt whiskey produced as a limited release by the Heaven Hill Distillery. This 2024 expression utilizes a distillery mash bill of 65% malted barley and 35% corn, representing one of the few aged straight malt offerings from the producer. Originally barreled in March 2009, the liquid matured for 14 years in the upper floors of Rickhouse O and Rickhouse Q before undergoing a secondary four-month finishing period.
This final stage utilized 56 larger, reconstructed barrels that previously held Cognac, specifically modified with new heavy toast staves. The unique finishing process transforms the spirit’s naturally earthy and herbal characteristics into a velvety profile of molasses, bittersweet chocolate, and dried summer fruit, balanced by cloves and nutmeg with a long, warming finish.
