The 2017 Hyde de Villaine (HdV) "Ygnacia" Pinot Noir is a highly-rated, elegant red wine from the Los Carneros region of Napa Valley, crafted through a partnership between the Hyde family and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. 

• Aromas: Prominent scents of Bing cherry, raspberry compote, and rhubarb are complemented by floral notes of violet, lavender, and rose petal, with underlying hints of cinnamon and mossy bark.
• Palate: It is characterized by a juicy finish and a "chalky" or "stony" mineral frame. The wine is light-to-medium bodied with fine-grained, firm tannins.
• Winemaking: This vintage was produced with minimal whole clusters (roughly 8%) and modest use of new oak to preserve the terroir's energy and concentration.
