Mala Vida x Dos Artes Extra Añejo Tequila is an 80 Proof (40% ABV) 100% Blue Weber agave spirit produced at NOM 1588 in Arandas, Jalisco. This specific bottling represents a high-altitude expression of the partnership between Mala Vida—founded by Alex González of Maná—and Dos Artes. Unlike valley-produced versions, this Highlands release utilizes agave grown between 1,800 and 2,200 meters, contributing a fruitier and more floral foundation to the spirit. The liquid is matured for an impressive minimum of five years (60 months) in a combination of select French and American oak barrels.
This ultra-aged maturation produces a high-viscosity profile characterized by deep roasted agave, dark chocolate, and toasted vanilla, balanced by sophisticated notes of maple, butterscotch, and warm baking spices. Presented in a signature 1-liter hand-painted ceramic decanter with Mala Vida motifs, this limited allocation is a primary target for collectors seeking the pinnacle of high-proof, aged Mexican craftsmanship.
