Cascahuin El Mixto is a Blanco Tequila from Tequila Cascahuin in El Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico. This limited release is bottled at 92 proof, additive-free.
El Mixto sits in the higher-proof range of Cascahuin's Blanco program, above the standard 80-proof core bottling but below the still-strength 11 Brix. The release uses 100 percent Tequila Valley Blue Weber agave slow-cooked in brick ovens, fermented in a combination of wood and stainless steel open-air vats, and double-distilled in copper pot stills - the same Rosales-family methods that have anchored production at NOM 1123 for more than a century.
On the nose, it shows cooked agave layered with citrus zest, fresh herbs, and subtle minerality. The palate brings sweet agave, black pepper, fresh herb, and citrus, and the finish carries a clean, dry close.
The bumped 92-proof bottling preserves more body and aromatic intensity than the standard Cascahuin Blanco. It drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
