Cascahuin Aniversario is a Blanco Tequila from Tequila Cascahuin in El Arenal, Jalisco, Mexico. This 2024 release was bottled at 92 proof to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Rosales family distillery, additive-free.
Cascahuin was founded in 1904 by Salvador Rosales Briseño and has remained a single family operation across four generations, with current master distiller Salvador "Chava" Rosales Trillo carrying on the methods his great-grandfather established. The Aniversario release marks 120 years of unbroken family stewardship out of NOM 1123 in El Arenal, the heart of the Tequila Valley. Production follows the same century-old fundamentals: brick-oven slow-cooked Blue Weber agave, traditional extraction, fermentation, and double distillation in copper pot stills.
The 92-proof bottling sits above Cascahuin's standard 80-proof Blanco, giving a higher-strength expression of the house style without crossing into the still-strength territory of the 11 Brix release. It drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
