Presenting the inaugural release of the Clase Azul Master Artisans collection, this creation embodies our rich artisanal tradition. It seamlessly merges the expertise of our Master Distiller, Viridiana Tinoco, with the artistry of Ángel Santos, a preeminent Mexican artisan.
The handcrafted decanter features captivating artwork inspired by the elegance of long-plumed pheasants, symbolizing light, prosperity, the sun, and wealth across cultures. The blue hues employed in the illustrations represent the sky, air, and water. Additionally, the decanter showcases five and six-petalled flowers—a nod to traditional artisanal clay techniques from Tonalá, a revered town in Jalisco known as the "cradle of ceramics" in Mexico.
Viridiana Tinoco, our Master Distiller, crafted Clase Azul's longest-aged blend in history. This extraordinary 8-year-old extra añejo tequila began its maturation in American whiskey casks, aging for 64 months. Subsequently, it spent the next 41 months in three distinct sherry casks: amontillado, oloroso, and pedro ximénez, resulting in a blend of unparalleled complexity.
