William Larue Weller 2010 is a 126.6 Proof barrel-strength wheated bourbon distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery (DSP-KY-113) and remains a pinnacle of the 2010 Antique Collection. Distilled in the summer of 1998, this spirit underwent exactly 12 years and 3 months of maturation in new charred American white oak. This vintage is technically distinguished by its primary aging on the 4th and 9th floors of Warehouses I and P, where the elevated microclimate facilitated a technical evaporation loss of 55.5%.
Comprised of just 55 hand-picked barrels, the structural framework is defined by its massive viscosity and a "polished" profile that highlights the soft, creamy character of aged wheat. Bottled uncut and unfiltered at 126.6 proof, the profile delivers dense notes of caramel corn, new leather, and plums, transitioning into a rich palate of marshmallow and salted almonds.
