Old Forester 2011 Birthday Bourbon is the tenth annual release in the brand's vintage-dated series, bottled at 98 proof (49% ABV) and distilled at the Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky. The mash bill is Old Forester's standard 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley.
Aged 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels pulled from two maturation locations: the 1st floor of Warehouse H and the 6th floor of Warehouse I. Public production quantities for this vintage were not disclosed by Brown-Forman, and limited bottle counts have made the 2011 release one of the rarer entries in the Birthday Bourbon series.
