Distilled in the spring of 2003, this spirit underwent exactly 18 years and 6 months of maturation in new charred American white oak—significantly exceeding its 17-year age statement. This vintage is technically distinguished by its aging on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floor of Warehouse C, K, M, and Q. The barrels experienced a high evaporation loss of 73%, concentrating the liquid into a dense, high-viscosity structural framework.
Bottled at a consistent 101 proof as a tribute to the original 1975 strength, the technical profile is defined by a refined integration of oak and jammy dark fruit. It delivers a sophisticated palate of black cherry, vanilla bean, and caramelized sugar, with a finish characterized by a dry, elegant wood impact featuring notes of leather and tobacco.
