Bardstown Bourbon Company West Virginia Great Barrel Co is a Blended Rye Whiskey from Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. This blended rye whiskey was finished in cherry oak barrels from the West Virginia Great Barrel Company, charred using an infrared toasting process the cooperage pioneered. The technique drives deep caramelization, which the blending team used to amplify the rye's spice with rich oak sweetness. Each Collaborative release is a limited, single-finish bottling, and no two editions share the same partner cask.
On the nose, toasted oak, cherry, and rye spice. The palate brings dark caramel, baking spice, and stone fruit. The finish carries roasted oak and warming pepper.
