A Kentucky straight bourbon blend aged 6 to 14 years and finished for 17 months in barrels that held Oxheart, an imperial stout from Tennessee's Blackberry Farm Brewery. The blending team drew roasty chocolate and coffee depth from the stout casks. Each Collaborative release is a limited, single-finish bottling, and no two editions share the same partner cask.
On the nose, dark chocolate, coffee, and oak. The palate brings cocoa, roasted malt, and caramel. The finish carries espresso and lingering oak.
Strictly limited from the outset, bottles tend to move quickly once they surface. Among releases in the Bardstown Collaborative Series, it remains one of the most pursued by collectors.
