Bardstown Bourbon Company Amrut is a Straight Rye + Straight Bourbon Blend from Bardstown Bourbon Company in Bardstown, Kentucky. Part of the distillery's acclaimed Collaborative Series, in which the blending team partners with renowned winemakers, brewers and brandy houses to finish its award-winning whiskey in their used casks. Bottled at 110 proof.
This release blends straight bourbon with a straight rye finished in barrels from Amrut, the pioneering Indian single malt distillery in Bangalore. The blending team used the tropically matured Amrut casks to add exotic fruit and spice for one of the series' most adventurous finishes. Each Collaborative release is a limited, single-finish bottling, and no two editions share the same partner cask.
On the nose, tropical fruit, oak, and rye spice. The palate brings mango, baking spice, and malt. The finish carries warm spice and lingering fruit.
Strictly limited from the outset, bottles tend to move quickly once they surface. Among releases in the Bardstown Collaborative Series, it remains one of the most pursued by collectors.
