The 2022 Rose & Arrow Estate vintage showcases the dynamic interplay of nature’s forces. An unusually late start to the growing season initially raised concerns of a delayed harvest impacted by autumn rains. However, a cool spring transitioned into a long, dry summer with nearly no rain in October. With no notable periods of extreme heat, this vintage is finely balanced – with a little less acidity and a touch more red fruit than previous years.
The Palate: This wine greets you with aromatics of rocky earth and the
forest floor. Crushed vesicular basalt lends strong notes of dark fruit
and white pepper and the wine has a powerful structure of perfectly
integrated tannins and a pleasing texture.
