The Four Roses Secretariat 40th Anniversary edition is a limited-release, single-barrel allocation celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1973 Triple Crown. This bottling specifically honors the partnership between Secretariat and his Hall of Fame jockey, Ron Turcotte, who wore the iconic blue-and-white checked Meadow Stable silks featured on the bottleās label. Released in 2013 with a total outturn of 3,504 bottles, this expression was hand-selected at the Four Roses Cox's Creek facility by Turcotte and Secretariat's owner, Penny Chenery, alongside Master Distiller Jim Rutledge.
The sensory profile is defined by sweet, creamy aromas of Seville orange marmalade on the nose, transitioning into a balanced palate of acacia honey, cinnamon, and oak. This 750ml release is a primary acquisition for horse racing collectors and Four Roses enthusiasts seeking a tribute to one of the greatest athlete pairings in sporting history.
