To achieve a refined complexity without over-oaking, these barrels were matured on the lower floors of the Lynchburg barrel houses, where cooler temperatures facilitated a slower, more deliberate wood interaction.
The resulting profile is exceptionally sophisticated, featuring concentrated notes of butterscotch, fig, and toasted oak, with a smooth finish of sweet tobacco and dark chocolate.
