Introducing the latest addition to the Bourbon County family: their inaugural "Cask Finish" stout. Drawing inspiration from the ingenuity of their associates at Angel's Envy, the brewery embarked on a venture to enhance the intricacy of barrel-aged stout by incorporating finishing barrels never utilized before. The beer commences its journey in freshly emptied barrels, formerly housing Angel's Envy Kentucky straight bourbon. Following a year of aging in these barrels, the beer is then transferred to a second set of Ruby Port wine barrels, where it patiently matures for an additional year. Emulating Angel Envy's finishing process, the brewery refines and magnifies the flavors of cherry, spice, and cocoa within this aged stout. Bourbon County Angel's Envy Cask Finish Stout stands as a testament to the brewery's legacy as the pioneers of bourbon barrel-aged stout.
