Pintia is Vega Sicilia's estate in Toro, crafting bold, sun-drenched reds from old-vine Tinta de Toro (the region's powerful clone of Tempranillo). The 2005 is rich and full-throttle yet shaped by the family's signature precision: ripe black fruit, licorice, dark chocolate and spice over dense, ripe tannins and a long, warming finish. A generous, characterful Spanish red that shows the muscular side of the Vega Sicilia portfolio - ideal with hearty, flavorful dishes or further cellaring.
